Capacity Building Workshop for CSOs on Climate Justice

In a significant collaboration, MADO and SOGPA jointly held a capacity-building workshop aimed at empowering Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for enhanced advocacy on climate justice in the wake of COP27. This workshop served as a platform for knowledge exchange, skill development, and building collaborative networks among CSOs dedicated to environmental issues.

Key Objectives of the Workshop:

  1. Experience Sharing: Participants were encouraged to share their experiences and best practices in advocating for climate justice, fostering a spirit of collaboration and learning from one another’s successes and challenges.
  2. Skill Development: The workshop included interactive sessions focused on effective advocacy strategies, policy engagement, and leveraging community support in climate action.
  3. Collaboration Building: CSOs worked together to identify opportunities for joint initiatives, pooling their resources and expertise to amplify their impact in the fight against climate change.
  4. Future Planning for 2023: As part of the discussions, participants outlined a roadmap for collaborative actions in 2023, aiming to strengthen their collective voice in pushing for equitable climate policies and practices.

This workshop marks a crucial step in empowering CSOs to play a pivotal role in addressing climate justice issues and working together towards a sustainable future.
